Halie Loren: A Winter's Night

Though internationally-acclaimed jazz artist and singer-songwriter Halie Loren has performed around the world in many a glittering global capital, she is always grateful to return to her roots here in Eugene, where she has loved making music and taking part in community for over two decades. This sense of warmth and familiarity directly inspires the kind of performance she’ll be sharing on December 5th at The Art House: a homecoming of sorts, in the form of an intimate evening of songs befitting the winter season, featuring songs that embrace the high-contrast of emotions and experiences that this season often brings — deep darkness and brilliant light, soft nostalgia and gritty authenticity, melancholy and euphoria. Loren will be joined by long-time collaborators Matt Treder (piano), Sean Peterson (bass), Rob Birdwell (trumpet), and other musical friends as they weave an eclectic blend of original pieces, wintery covers from around the world, and some familiar holiday highlights. “For sheer vocal beauty and old-school warmth, few among her contemporaries can match Halie Loren.” - JazzTimes “Ask me to walk into a club and conjure up my singer of choice and it would be Halie Loren.” - The International Review of MusicJazz-pop; Singer-songwriterPT2H2025-12-05Halie Loren: A Winter's Night"Halie Loren: A Winter's Night"Live Event, Live Music, Holiday
