Hard Ticket to Hawaii
Start with several scantily clad Playboy playmates playing DEA agents in a tropical setting. Add some rocket launchers, radioactive snakes and the most charming low budget credits you’ve ever seen in a movie and what you get is a film that was “exclusively available on home video” that deserved to be seen by more than just horny dads pretending that they only rented it for the action (which is honestly great). This Andy Sideris film is often highlighted on the Bad Movie Bible and had an episode devoted to it on How Did This Get Made. In 2014, Paste Magazine voted HARD TICKET TO HAWAII the best B-movie of all time and it’s easy to see why. It has all the hallmarks- great locations, sexy actors, absurd story choices and a rocket launcher. Trigger warnings: Contains boobs, explosions, radioactive snakes, skateboard assassins, the world’s most deadly frisbee, even more boobs and one super questionable racist rant from a side character that has nothing to do with the plot but is thankfully very short.
