Coming LIVE to the Art House stage: Local heavy-hitters ExWife and Rosemary Walks!<div><br></div><div><div><b>ExWife </b>is an alternative rock quartet, blending sounds from the past and present. Known for their melodic rock anthems, they bring a sound that pulls from all the best facets of the 90s but keeps you grounded and inspired in the now. </div><div><br></div><div>Alexandria Bonanno approached writing Blow, chasing the memories of growing up in a cult and marrying young. The songs were written through a decade-long relationship that crumbled when she began to challenge her own growth as a human being. ExWife was built on voice memos with babies babbling in the background and desire and want seething through those early recordings. The more growth she experienced, the harder it was to stay true to the old version of herself.</div><div><br></div><div>The band morphed through many different iterations, but it wasn’t until Nicolas Kauffmann, Josh Mahurin-Chavez, and Kadin Monegan formed the core, and the songs began to become something special. ExWife began to take on a nostalgic 90s sound with beefy tones and memorable melodies. Lyrically, their music is funny and evocative, drawing from influences like The Breeders, L7 and Tori Amos. ExWife captures heartbreak in unexpected ways- in “Shadows” Alexandria confronts the duality of oneself recognizing that there is always two sides to any story, while “Wild West” makes a clear statement that there is humor in sexuality and desire. In “Blow”, the namesake of the album, she requests the pleasure she always deserved.</div><div><br></div><div>ExWife is about finding your own freedom, developing your voice, asking for what you deserve, and realizing that something better might be around the corner if you have the courage to pursue it. With a mix of humor, grief, and towering melodies, ExWife cements themselves as one of rock’s most compelling new voices.</div><div><br></div><div><div><b>Rosemary Walks</b> is a musician and songwriter based in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Her music exists in a lush, untamed space between indie rock and the experimental ̶ where haunting textures meet raw, emotional urgency. Rosemary writes to process the energy of love, loss, and spiritual growth, transforming lived experience into vivid soundscapes.</div><div><br></div><div>A creative assistant at National Freedom Studio ̶ the historic recording space founded by the late Richard Swift ̶ Rosemary works with renowned engineer Christopher Colbert (The Walkmen, Leon Bridges) to shape and record her music. Her self-titled debut EP (2023) introduced her cinematic yet intimate sound, followed by Inchoate (2025), a deeper exploration of emotional release and renewal.</div><div><br></div><div>Rosemary has also contributed vocals to recordings for The Slip, Peter Matthew Bower (The Walkman), Marco Benevento & Matt Nice and The Derls.
