Formed in late 2021 in Eugene, the Oregon-based quintet Natsukashii Soul has played over 100 shows across the state, mostly in Eugene and Portland. The band's repertoire includes vocal-based jazz tunes and originals led by ‘Autumn Rose’ Hummel. Her distinctly soulful and sultry voice anchors the band’s sound, shifting effortlessly between soft intimacy and bold dynamic presence. Experienced trumpet player Frank Visconti adds melodic color over complex chord structures played by Vincent Panero on keys and guitar. Highly syncopated rhythms from young professional drummer, Paige Iavelli and experienced bassist, Greg McKelvey weave the band's sound into a unique experience with deep roots in jazz. Set lists include originals, as well as tunes by Freddie Hubbard, Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper, Wayne Shorter, Oliver Nelson and even Blondie.
